Ergonomics at its best. The Engage is a great task chair that shares features with the Allure and has its own unique features as well. Our unique Waterfall Release seat is so fabulous, we used it for our Engage chair also. The flexing mesh back engages with your lower back to support the lumbar and helps to roll your pelvis forward, which is critical to getting a curve in your spine. Everyone loves the Engage, and it is most appreciated by women that desire a chair that fits their size perfectly. Engage’s state of the art seat depth mechanism is the key to its comfort and flexibility.
Foam-Molded Seat
While most office chair seats are made with open-cell foam that is simply cut from big blocks, the Allure seat is molded just for our chair. Our mold is designed to better distribute your weight and spread pressure across your legs, which helps mitigate cutting off your circulation in any one area. Molded foam also keeps its resilience for years longer than cut foam and is always one of the first things we look for in evaluating chairs.
Seat Depth Adjustment
Everybody is different, and to feel comfortable in a seat, we each want to feel like our legs are on the seat “enough”. But we also need to be careful not to stop the blood from coming back up from our feet, and if “enough” is too much, that isn’t good. To ensure you have the best posture and keep your circulation flowing effectively, you always want to have about three fingers of space behind your knee before the seat starts. Our seat depth adjustment features ensure a customized fit for every person that uses the Allure in their office. By adjusting the seat depth, you can have the right amount of seat under your legs at all times. Extend it out for taller people. Make it shorter depth if you’re naturally shorter in stature. While the total seat slide range is the same between the Allure and Engage, the seat depth relative to the back differs. The Engage seat sits back further in the chair, making it ideal for shorter people.
Waterfall Release
This feature is unique to the ErgoFocus line of ergonomic furniture. With the Waterfall Release, you’ll transform how you achieve ultimate comfort as you work during the day. Together with adjusting the seat depth, we’ve designed the Allure with the ability to flex the front portion of the seat using a hinge to help take pressure off your legs during the day. This is a revolution in ultimate comfort and circulation!</span?
Synchro-tilt Mechanism
The Engage features its own hybrid weight-activated synchro-tilt mechanism. It moves backward two degrees for every one degree that the seat reclines, which helps to reduce pressure on your legs while reclining. Our mechanism moves just the way you need it to, as it responds to the weight on the seat to dial the resistance for a perfect reclining experience when resting and upright when working.
Adjustable Lumbar Support
The Engage from ErgoFocus features a 3-position ratcheting mechanism in the lower back that allows you to change the shape of the back to give more or less pronounced lumbar support with just the mesh. Our innovative adjustable lumbar support feature fills in the back and helps roll your pelvis forward for good posture, while still feeling soft. While we strongly encourage sitting for limited durations, the Engage ss ridiculously comfortable and will keep you engaged with your work for hours.
